- Abstract
- Recent progress in fabrication and applying metal matrix composites (MMC) on magnesium matrix is reviewed in this survey. Advantages and disadvantages of magnesium MMC's against other construction materials were analyzed. Main matrix and reinforcement compounds were specified. General production methods of magnesium MMC's were listed. Phase interaction, mechanical and tribological properties of such MMC's were discussed.
