- Abstract
- Access rights is an important issue for the CERN Engineering and Equipment Data Management System (EDMS). It provides several mechanisms for administrating them, mainly based on the notion of groups of users. Some of these groups need to be automatically synchronized with information held by other corporate systems (HR…), which can be available through links to other databases, LDAP servers or web-services. This paper presents the architecture, algorithms and description of the system adopted for automatic synchronization of users groups in the CERN EDMS.
