- Abstract
- State of the art in a field of oxygen ion conductive oxide ceramic membranes with promising prospects was analyzed to applications for SOFCs and CMRs. New strategy for development of the multilayer ceramic membranes based on the use of inert porous supports from modified crystal-glass composites and mechanochemical powders for conducting ceramic layers was proposed. The main problem of dense membrane production related to shrinkage misfit between support and ceramic layers is successfully solved by the use of the appropriate fractions separated from nanopowders obtained by mechanochemical synthesis. For the synthesis of complex oxide materials with desired properties some rules for compositions are formulated. The flow sheet of multilayer membranes production with optimal architecture for laboratory studies - dead-end tubes is presented. Few reactors with almost gastight 40 cm2 membrane were fabricated and tested.
