- Abstract
- Possibilities of use of natural Indian wollastonite for reception of heat-insulating ceramics are considered. Crystallization of wollastonite and the microstructure of samples by the petrographic analysis are investigated. It is shown, that microstructure of material depends on temperature of sintering. The received ceramic material on the basis of Indian wollastonite is not moistened by aluminium alloys melts. It can be used as heat-insulating, in particular in electric furnace for manufacture of aluminium alloys.
