- Abstract
- Objects of virtual scenes are defined via their geometry and materials. A scene objects material characterizes particularities of light interaction with a surface and interior of an object. To develop a new material means to develop a new mathematical model, i. e. formulas and an algorithm that allow computing of mentioned interaction. This work is devoted to a new material of optically anisotropic semitransparent (absorbing) objects like crystals, crystalline aggregates. The study allows extending the diversity of objects included into virtual reality scenes.
