- Abstract
- Double-screen shield construction for Scientific and Power Module is presented. It includes an in-between screen made of composite material. The calculation method for the analysis of impact firmness of the double-screen shield construction is based on the energy model of destruction of shield. Ballistic limit equations (BLEs) which describe relation between velocity and size of mechanic particles on the failure threshold of the shield as a function of impact angle are also presented. The comparison of assessment results with experimental data is shown.
