- Abstract
- The temperature conditions of course stages of formation of nanostructured and polycrystalline Ti1-хAlхN films by arc evaporation have been installed. According to the model pioneered by structural zones of Ti1-хAlхN films and results of chemical analysis pattern of change of the concentration of Al CAl (0 х 0.4) in Ti1-хAlхN films depending on the process and temperature conditions of formation was established. It was shown that nanostructured stoichiometry Ti0.6Al0.4N films at maximum Vheat.film and optimum pressure of the gas mixture of 1.0 Pa, with Al = 28.7 at. % were formed. If CAl 17.02 at. % and СAl/CTi 0,33 the diameter of crystallites decreases to 4 nm. Degree of texturing Ti1-хAlхN films increases monotonically with increasing Al concentration and ratio of the concentrations of Al and base Ti. Achievement of concentration Al 26.5 at. %, reducing the diameter of crystallites ( 20 nm), regulating of microstructure and increasing of degree of texturing Ti1-хAlхN films to 0.8 promote improvement of the physical and mechanical properties of Ti1-хAlхN films. Nanostructured Ti1-хAlхN film with СAl 26.5 ат.%, СAl/CTi 0.6, diameter of crystallites 20 nm the total free energy E = 71.3 eV have high mechanical and tribological properties. If conditions for CAl and CAl / CTi dont carry out effectiveness of their influence on the tribological properties of Ti1-хAlхN films is negligible.
