- Abstract
- Because of complexity of modern strategic management information systems, implementation of their implementation and development projects usually requires attracting of external consultants. However, at present general principles and rules of relationships between an enterprise and external consultants are insufficiently disclosed in the literature. In this connection, the paper is focused on principal benefits and risks associated with attracting of external consultants, taking into consideration the nature of strategic management systems and characteristics of their development management. As a result, practical recommendations in the fields of positioning of external consultants in projects of strategic management systems development, as well as selection of consultants and relationships with them in the course of project implementation are proposed.
