- Abstract
- It is noted that moisture protection of polymeric composites (PC) based constructions operated under uncontrolled relative humidity and temperature of environment is one of the factors of preserving of their properties. A prediction of moisture content distribution in constructional elements is not impossible without study of sorption-diffusion properties of materials. This study has determined sorption parameters and moisture diffusion coefficients of some polymer composites different according to their purposes, and calculated moisture distribution profiles at variable temperature-moisture service conditions of constructions with application of the studied PC characteristics. The study results have shown application efficiency of some materials as moisture protectors.
