- Abstract
- The procedure of an experimental research of carbon reinforced plastics (CRP) deformation and damage processes at high-speed hard body impact, specific for operational damage of aviation power-plants parts is developed. Experimental data about processes and damage character of seven types of CRP based on prepreg with various stacking patterns, a two-dimensional (2D) tissue and a three-dimensional (3D) preform used in aviation turbine engines and nacelles are received. Results of test can be used for selection of engines parts materials subject to impact damage, and also for verification of the CRP mathematical impact models.
