- Abstract
- Thermophysical properties of Cu-SiC metal composite material sintered by hot pressing (HP) and hybrid spark plasma sintering technique (SPS) are considered. The thermophysical properties dependences in terms of sintering technique and volume fraction of SiC are assessed. The experimental and theoretical values were compared. The conclusions on the effect of SiC volume fraction, diffusion processes during sintering process of composite at high temperatures on its thermophysical properties were made. The prospects for the use of metal matrix Cu-SiC composites were reviewed.
