- Abstract
- The article discusses the questions of using hermetic products made of carbon-carbon composite materials (C/C composites) in industries such as chemicometallurgical industry, chemical industry and semiconductive materials manufacturing. Here it is demonstrated the development level and special properties of C/C composites as well as the types of products, which fabrication technique was well-proven and the products were tried out in civil branches of both domestic and foreign industries. The data is given on physical-mechanical and thermal-physical properties. Using of hermetic C/C composites provides long service life of parts and mechanisms operating in severe environment, where other materials would fail.
