- Abstract
- The paper considers two non-stationary methods for determining of key thermal characteristics of thermal protection materials using plate-shaped samples are considered. Theoretical justification of these methods is given. Experimental verification of these methods using a model material is described. Results obtained during the experimental verification show good agreement between themselves, as well as with the reference thermal diffusivity value obtained using the Parker's method. The methods make it possible to determine the specific heat capacity, heat conductivity and thermal diffusivity of materials, while providing, unlike those implemented in numerous conventional instruments, high repeatability of results. The methods are applicable to product quality control during the thermal protection material production process.
