- Abstract
- In this work the possibility of production of building ceramics from low-plasticity clay deposits of Syvorotke of Vladimir region with the addition of local wastes: electroplating sludge and glass cullet. To reduce the toxicity of the resulting ceramics, the composition of the batch was additionally introduced boric acid. The results of determination of the basic properties of the investigated ceramics: density, porosity, water absorption, compressive strength, and frost resistance. Additionally, the results of studies confirming environmental safety of the developed part of the charge.
