- Abstract
- The article presents materials science and technological approaches to the development of C/SiC composites hermetic constructions. The basis of their manufacturing technology has criteria, which observation provides such possibility. It is shown that hermetic sealing turns volumetric, using silicon impregnation process by vapour-liquid phase method and by the combined method, developed on the basis of the combination of alternative liquid-phase and vapour-liquid phase processes. It is pointed out that due to the lack of specific systems, which provide additional heating of crucibles filled with silicon during silicon impregnation by vapour-liquid phase method, the latter nowadays cannot be used at manufacturing of hermetic large-sized products.
