- Abstract
- Tribotechnical properties of metal-ceramic composite materials tested under unlubricated friction conditions at reciprocating motion and rotational sliping are considered. It is shown the effect of the composition and concentration of the ceramic component in the composite material on tribotechnical properties. It was revealed the influence of counterbody material, the contact area and the friction mode in the friction pair with metal-ceramic composite material on their functional tribological properties. The tribotechnical tests results of metal-ceramic composite materials are given in comparison with graphite that displays the contact area effect on friction processes.
