- Abstract
- The paper provides a methodology to determine elastic constants of an anisotropic material when a coordinate system is arbitrarily turned. A set for the generalized Hooke's law consists of 21 equations as it contains 21 elastic constants. For the first time the set is described in expanded form with technically understandable elastic constants. The set allows defining elastic constants for any (common or particular) type of the material anisotropy. The proposed methodology permits defining elastic behaviours of a material which layers are stacked in the shell packet in any way. This is important for optimization and rational designing of structures from composite materials.
