- Abstract
- The issues of development and construction of arched bridges using carbon-filled plastic arched elements are considered. The prototype of the developed technology is the construction technology of bridge building exploited in the USA using arched elements made of polymer composite materials (PCM) for the manufacture of permanent formwork. According to the technology developed by the authors prefabricated bridge structures with a mass that is 20 times less than concrete structures and 5 times less than steel structures can be manufactured, what reduces the cost of construction and operation of facilities. The manufacture of the arched bridge on the construction site takes only 2-3 months, what makes it possible to drastically reduce economic losses and reduce environmental pollution.
