- Abstract
- Acoustic emission (AE) monitoring of CFRP specimens 600×100×0.9 mm in sizes under static loading and heating was performed. Samples consisted of nine monolayers [± 45/90/03/90/ ± 45] of the preimpregnated fabric Torayca T800 and were manufactured in industrial furnace with thermal stabilization in vacuum at temperature Tfor = 135 оC. One part of the samples was loaded with static loads at T1 = 20 оС and other part - at T2 = 100 оС. In middle of samples hole with diameter d = 12 mm was made. It was stress concentrator. Technique has been developed to control process of samples destruction based on analysis of location of AE signals, activity, and activity growth rate. The increase in load caused appearance of new sources of AE signals and was accompanied by change in growth rate of activity. With simultaneous exposure to static load and temperature 100 оC, decrease in activity of AE signals was observed compared with results obtained at temperature 20 оC.
