- Abstract
- The influence of the pressure of explosive compaction and subsequent sintering on the density, thermal conductivity and temperature dependences of thermal expansion of composites containing fluoroplast-4 with 50 and 70 % vol. aluminum was investigated. It has been established that an increase the pressure of explosive compaction from 0.1-0.2 to 0.4-0.5 GPa, as well as the subsequent sintering in a closed volume contribute to an increase in density, thermal conductivity and decrease in thermal expansion of the composites, which is primarily associated with welding of aluminum particles and the formation of a continuous reinforcing phase (frame), as well as with an increase in adhesive interfacial interaction.
