- Abstract
- The article presents forecast estimates of the increase time of the temperature of the reservoir-cooler in the summer for the thermal discharges from the reactors of the small nuclear power plant from 0.5 to 10 MW (th.) for the climatic conditions of the North-East of Russia in variation of surface area and depth of the reservoir. The calculations are based on the derived analytical expression. The rates of warming up for varying values of the mirror surface area and depth of the reservoir are analyzed, at which the water heating in the hottest summer month will not exceed 0.5 oC, which will ensure that there is no negative impact on the ecology of the reservoir. Analytical dependences were obtained for the reactor installations with a capacity of 10 MW (th.). Dependences allow us to estimate the duration of heating of the cooling reservoir with variations in the depth and surface area of reservoirs in a wide range of values.
