- Abstract
- The results of strength tests of two butt joints of aircraft spars made of ACM102 / C130UD carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) with Rochacell filler are presented. In accordance with the test program, their static and cyclic loading was carried out. The monitoring of the state of their structures was carried out using the method of acoustic emission (AE) and tensometry. The relative deformations arising in the material under loading are determined. It was found that at a load equal to 85 % of the calculated value, there was an abrupt change in deformations, which was accompanied by an increase in the values of the main informative parameters of the AE signals. The coordinates of the AE signal sources corresponding to the growth of the crack in the region of the adhesive joint and the separation of the lower flange of the butt joint of spar are determined. A relationship is established between the change in the relative deformations of the CFRP material, the structure of the AE signals with the appearance and propagation of destruction in the structure of the butt joints of spar.
