- Abstract
- The results of a numerical analysis of stresses and strains in a shell of revolution made of a laminate composite material (CM) are presented. It is assumed that the structure contains defects in the form of delamination. The calculations have been performed using the modern computational tool based on the finite element method. The influence of this type of defects on the stiffness characteristics of the structure is investigated. The analysis of correlation between the simulation results of multiple variants of shell and experimental data of static deformation has been performed.
