- Abstract
- The article deals with the application of calculated dependence of a carrying capacity of boron/aluminum shells imparting stability. A carrying capacity is investigated versus geometrical and structural parameters, in particular, a ratio of reinforcement of an unidirectional anisotropic boron/aluminum layer. The application of refined calculated dependence and a carrying capacity of boron/aluminum shells imparting stability with respect to the refined ratio K representing a ratio of critical experimental loads to calculated ones is analyzed. Application of the refined calculated dependence proposed in the paper results in reducing statistical characteristics defining spread in calculated and experimental values with respect to ratio K and therefore assigning soundly structure safety factors.
