- Abstract
- A review of the results of agroecological studies of soils carried out in North Ossetia-Alania over the past 20 years is presented. Literature data on the main sources of technogenic soil pollution with heavy metals and their impact on the environment are analyzed. It is shown that the main and constant sources of technogenic pollution for many decades in the Republic are enterprises of the mining and processing and metallurgical industries. A number of enterprises are no longer functioning, but the problem of environmental safety in the region is still relevant.
