- Abstract
- This article describes and analyzes the main spectral parameters of fiber Bragg gratings (FBG) designed to create an integrated system of diagnostics structures made of polymer composite materials (PCM), and the main calculation ratios are given. It has been experimentally confirmed that the reflection coefficient, the modulation depth, and full width at half maximum do not actually change under the application of mechanical tensile loads, while a change in the Bragg wavelength allows them to be reliably recorded over the entire range of relative deformation measurements characteristic of structural PCMs. The results of experimental researches on the determination of internal deformations of PCM structures using integrated FBGs are presented. It has been experimentally established that the reflection coefficient and the modulation depth in the PCM composition depend on the limiting temperatures of PCM formation, which lead to some decrease in these parameters, while the full width at half maximum remains constant. Experimental requirements have been developed for the spectral parameters of FBGs intended for diagnostics of composite structures.
