- Abstract
- For the first time, an algorithm for calculating the elastic characteristics of an orthotropic model of anisotropic structures using CAE software packages is proposed. The algorithm is based on determining the effective elastic characteristics of an elementary 3-D cell of a reinforcing polymer composite material of arbitrary structure using the finite element method (FEM). The algorithm is characterized by high accuracy in determining all nine characteristics of the orthotropic model of the structure under study.
