- Abstract
- In the early stages of design of aircraft thin-walled structures, it is necessary to perform weight estimation considering strength and stability constraints. The objects of research in this paper are composite reinforced panels of an aircraft wing caisson. The article proposes an analytical methodology for the design of reinforced panels loaded with compressive and tangential forces, based on the condition of equal stability. The method also takes into account the presence of possible regulated defects in the cladding. The problem of optimal design of reinforced panels is reduced to minimisation of a function of one variable, which is the ratio of height to reinforcement step. To take into account possible defects, special parametric studies have been carried out by the finite element method, on the basis of which refining coefficients have been introduced into the analytical relations of the stiffness parameters of the reinforced panels.
