- Abstract
- This article addresses issues related to the design and manufacture of composite pressure vessels with a thermoplastic liner, reinforced in the circumferential direction. The use of a liner reinforced in this manner allows for the control of the stress-strain state of the composite shell, particularly reducing stresses around the polar opening where stress concentration is typically observed. Relationships have been derived that determine the required shape of the pressure vessel's shell with a reinforced liner, as well as the necessary thickness of the liner and composite shell. The paper also discusses the manufacturing technology of the vessel with a reinforced thermoplastic liner.
