- Abstract
- The results are presented of measurement of deformations of ring, tubular specimens and pressure cylinders made of organic fiber reinforced plastic (OFRP). Deformations were measured using fiber-optic sensors (FOS) based on bragg gratings (BG) and resistance strain gauges. The effect on the degree of correspondence of the readings of two types of meters of the level of deformations, temperature and features of manufacturing and loading of the objects of study is considered. It is shown that BG performance depends not only on the level of deformations, but also on the accumulation of microdamages in the material. The estimation is given for the impact of technological features of composite manufacture on the proper operation of FOS with BG.
