- Abstract
- The article considers the problems of determining the thicknesses of thin composite panels, for which the loss of stability under loading close to the operational level is acceptable, taking into account the criterion of strength under transversal tangential stresses. The methodology of design of bearing panels for the non-critical state based on analytical solutions of geometrically nonlinear problems and the condition of reaching the maximum modulus of stresses to the strength limit values in potential-critical points has been used. It is noted that one of the forms of failure of composite panels at the initial stages of subcritical behavior is associated with possible delamination when relatively large values of transversal transverse tangential stresses are reached, taking into account small values of allowable stresses. This article presents solutions to several problems of determining the thicknesses of composite panels of orthotropic and anisotropic structures according to the strength conditions when the limiting values of transverse tangential stresses are reached during subcritical behavior. Attention is paid to the design problems related to the peculiarities of short rectangular panels for which two terms of trigonometric series are considered in the deflection expression based on the geometrical parameters of the panels (at b < a < 1.5b) and the form of possible loss of stability.
