- Abstract
- Four-component solid solutions of the type PbTiO3-PbZrO3 (PZT)-S n PbB'1-a B''a O3, where n = 2, B' and B'' are, respectively, pentavalent (Nb)- and divalent (Zn, Mn) cations, were produced by the method of two-stage solid-phase synthesis and sintering according to the conventional ceramic technology, using mechanically activating procedures. The regularities of the influence of mechanical activation on the processes of phase formation, formation of the crystal and grain structures of the ferropiezoelectric material were established. The modes (durations) of mechanical activation, providing high density and practical impurity of ceramics, were determined. A conclusion was made on the advisability of using the obtained data in the development of similar materials and devices based on them.
