- Abstract
- Cyclic tests of samples manufactured by autoclave and vacuum forming methods from ACM carbon fiber reinforced plastic were carried out. During the tests, the samples were loaded on an MTS-50 electrohydraulic machine until failure. A cyclic load of 90 kN and a frequency of 3 Hz was applied to the samples. Defects during loading were recorded using the acoustic emission (AE) and ultrasound (US) methods. When recording AE signals, the main information parameters (defect location, MARSE energy parameter, two-interval coefficient, median frequency) recorded in the working area of the samples from the number of loading cycles were analyzed. Each sample was loaded in four stages of 45´103 cycles, a total of 180´103 cycles. After each loading stage, ultrasonic testing was carried out using the OmniScan X3 device, which allows determining the types of defects and their location in the carbon fiber material.
