- Abstract
- The article discusses the possibility of using Chlorella microalgae to extract carbon dioxide from natural waters. The results of a qualitative experiment performed using the NKV-1 field laboratory aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of this method are presented. Key parameters affecting the rate of carbon dioxide removal, such as algae concentration, light level, and ambient temperature, have been studied. The practical significance of the data obtained for environmental protection measures and the potential of the method in the context of reducing carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere is discussed.
