- Abstract
- The article presents the results of studies of chemical pollution and toxicity level of surface watercourses located near the used sludge ponds in the area of the urban microdistrict Kusunovo of the city of Vladimir. High concentrations of zinc, copper, nickel, lead were revealed, which is associated with the lack of waterproofing and protective structures on these sludge ponds. Exceedances of maximum permissible concentrations of phosphates and sulfates in surface watercourses were established. Determination of the level of integral chemical toxicity of water showed that the watercourse of the drainage ditch located near the used sludge ponds is toxic. For the environmental rehabilitation of disturbed territories and the elimination of chemical pollution of surface watercourses in the microdistrict Kusunovo of the city of Vladimir, it is necessary to carry out reclamation work on all used sludge ponds as soon as possible.
