- Abstract
- The utilisation of CO2 from flue gases by Chlorella sp. is an efficient and sustainable process that yields valuable biochemical compounds. In experimental studies, it was found that culturing Chlorella sp. in medium with pure CO2 and flue gas (7.8 % CO2) induced changes in cell structure and increased magnesium and phosphorus content in the biomass. The carbon fixation rate reaches 0.080 ± 0.056 g/dm³ per day and biomass growth reaches 0.3 g/dm³ per day.
