- Abstract
- The article discusses approaches to the detection of short-term signals against the background of stationary noise and interference based on the comparison of the levels of the received oscillation in different time intervals. The decision to detect a short-term signal is made by establishing changes (non-stationarity) in the level (amplitude, power) of the oscillation relative to the selected intervals or samples. An analysis of previously published articles on this topic has been conducted. A classification and generalization of known decision functions has been proposed based on the models of informative and interfering random processes. The performance characteristics of individual algorithms of practical interest have been constructed and studied.
