- Abstract
- This article systematizes the threats and vulnerabilities of the optical channel of quantum key distribution systems with Plug-and-Play architectures. Using the STRIDE and DREAD methodologies, QKD components are analyzed and threat models are constructed taking into account the interaction of quantum and classical channels. Critical vulnerabilities characteristic of PnP architectures are identified, and an integrated threat model is proposed, allowing for the identification of key areas for security enhancement during the design and operational stages.
