- Abstract
- The experimental method and results of measurements of dynamic compressibility and strength of polymeric composite materials on the basis of unidirectional high-modular carbon fibers UKN-M(6К) are observed. Shock and wave characteristics of a material are defined by means of the analysis of the full wave profiles which are continuously registered by means of a laser Doppler measuring instrument of speed in the process of shock and wave loading of studied flat samples. Shock waves having amplitude to 3 GPa are generated by means of special explosive devices. Strain rate of specimens from carbon-fiber-reinforced polymers before failure at splitting off was ~104 c-1.
